Award reflects the center’s dedication to providing exceptional customer service and technical excellence.

Horsham, PA — Cottman Transmissions and Total Auto Care is pleased to announce that Cottman of Norfolk has been named the recipient of the service industry’s coveted Angie’s List Super Service Award, reflecting exemplary levels of service for 2016, as reported to their consumer review site.

Cottman of Norfolk is an independent repair center, owned and operated by Bob and Cindy Cowie.

“We’re extremely proud of Bob and Cindy Cowie and the entire crew at the Cottman of Norfolk center,” says Cottman President Randy Wright. “When it comes to auto repair, consumers have a lot of choices. Quality auto repair is just the beginning. By earning this award, Cottman of Norfolk has shown they’re willing to go the extra mile, to provide an exceptional service experience… an experience that their customers appreciate.”

“We’re all extremely honored by this level of recognition,” says Derik Beck, vice president of digital marketing for Cottman. “It proves that the technicians and staff at Cottman of Norfolk don’t just talk the talk: They’re stepping up and allowing their work to do the talking for them. And receiving this award from Angie’s List shows that their customers have taken notice. It’s a difference we’re all proud to acknowledge.”

“Companies that can meet higher demands without missing a beat in their exemplary performance standards truly do stand apart from their peers,” said Angie’s List Founder Angie Hicks. “Only a fraction of the shops in Norfolk were able to do it.”

Angie’s List Super Service Award 2016 winners must meet strict eligibility requirements, including earning an “A” rating in overall grade, recent grade, and review period grade; being in good standing with Angie’s List; passing a background check; and abiding by Angie’s List operational guidelines.

According to the Angie’s List web site, winning this year’s award is particularly significant, as Angie’s List experienced unprecedented member growth in 2016. More than 1.6 million consumers, many of whom were eager to hire highly qualified service professionals, joined Angie’s List after the company added a new, free membership tier.

Service company ratings are updated daily on Angie’s List. Companies are graded on an A through F scale in areas ranging from price to professionalism to punctuality.
