The exhaust system does more than allow the engine exhaust to exit behind the vehicle. It is the heart of the pollution system. Even small leaks in the exhaust can affect the performance of the engine and the exhaust emissions. It only takes a couple of minutes to check an exhaust system for leaks so it should be done at least every other oil change.
