Cottman Transmission Announces Exciting “Race-to-Atlanta” Contest
Friday, February 27, 2004
Cottman Transmission Systems, LLC, announced today that it is sponsoring a “Race-to-Atlanta” contest as part of its #9 Cottman Show Car program. Cottman is sponsoring the #9 car and NASCAR driver Jeff Burton in four Busch Series races this year. As part of the show car program, Cottman is bringing the #9 car to market events around the country to build awareness of Cottman’s services. At the events, children and adults can test their skills racing against time on the 2004 NASCAR Thunder game, played on PlayStation 2. The Grand Prizewinner in both age categories (18 and over / under 18) will be the entrant who posts the fastest overall time between March 1 and October 4, 2004. The 18-and-over Grand Prizewinner receives an all-expenses trip to Atlanta for two to the Busch series Aaron’s 312 Race at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on October 30, 2004. The winner will meet Jeff Burton and serve as an honorary member of his pit crew in the “hot pits” for that race; the under-18 Grand Prizewinner receives a PlayStation 2 system, NASCAR steering wheel package, and the NASCAR Thunder 2004 game.
