Wednesday, September 28, 2005
HORSHAM, PA September 26, 2005 – Cottman Transmission Systems, LLC, the nation’s leading transmission repair chain, announced today that they will be distributing supplies to hurricane victims and rescue agencies through two Cottman Transmission Centers in the greater New Orleans area.
Through the generosity of the NASCAR community and in coordination with FitzBradshaw Racing; Cottman will distribute clothing, food, water, diapers, bleach and toys. The items were donated in part by the competing Busch Series NASCAR teams, who stepped up with product donations from their respective corporate sponsors. In addition, the residents of Mooresville, known as Race City, USA, have donated supplies which were collected door-to-door and through schools and charities.
"The people of the Gulf Coast have suffered such a tremendous loss," said FitzBradshaw team co-owner Armando Fitz. "I feel it is extremely important to offer any help possible and am thankful to have sponsors like Cottman Transmission who are willing to lend their resources to help in this time of need."
